Comparison

Human beings are characterized by various measurable and immeasurable parameters looking at which people tend to evaluate the person they are. Unlike 0 in mathematics, there is no absolute reference to which we can be compared and measured. Hence, people tend to create their own absolute references. Based on these standards, we compare ourselves and other people the moment we look at them. The ultimate goal is to conclude and make a decision.

We are always conditioned to decide and choose the best or reject the worst of all the given options. It all boils down to our biology and psychology.

But, if you are a victim of comparison, you need to look out for the solution via philosophy. More so, rationale. You need to realize that you are unique. This isn’t a statement to soothe you or make you feel better. This is the fact.

We all look at the world from different perspectives. Even the next moment we experience is very different for all of us. Don’t believe it? Okay. When I say this word ‘POTATO’, ’n’ number of people or you, the readers, will imagine ’n’ different potatoes in ’n’ different scenarios. This silly example is enough for me to stop comparing myself with others. Call it silly, but this is the fact, the complex yet simple fact.

You might be convinced or not be. In the end, it’s up to you. You need to realize what you are, what you want, and what you can be. If you truly think about this, the art of comparison doesn’t even dare to knock on the door of your mind. Be rational. Stop comparison. Take care ❤
