It’s very natural that whenever there is a discussion of ‘Maturity’, the term ‘Age’ chips in. In reality, it’s not just the age. There is a lot more that determines the level of maturity.
Though there is no absolute scale to measure the amount of maturity, there are few parameters that can be standardized to measure the degree of maturity to a certain extent. But, these parameters can be deceptive sometimes, which makes them not so trustworthy.
Maturity is about you realizing individuality at a very personal level as well as at the social level. Maturity is about the balance you try to create or figure out. Maturity is not just about the decisions you take. It’s also about the whys and hows of the decision. It’s about you understanding when to push yourself and when to pull yourself back. It’s about understanding when to judge and when not to. It’s the words you speak, the actions you take, the thoughts you think. It’s also about habits, relationships, and many more.
The fun part of maturity is that sometimes you surprise yourself and sometimes, you embarrass yourself. Maturity will always be an ongoing process. Peace ❤
